Captain Sir George Marjoribanks (died 1931) was a British polo player and banker.
==Biography==
He was the cousin of Edward Marjoribanks, 2nd Baron Tweedmouth. George was a skilled banker and rose to the position of chairman〔http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=VHQYAAAAIAAJ&dq=George+Marjoribanks+coutts&q=George+Marjoribanks#search_anchor〕 of the Coutts Bank, following in the footsteps of his grandfather Edward Majoribanks Sr. The families continuing involvement in banking originates from Sir Georges great grandfather Edward being a close friend of Thomas Coutts.〔http://www.coutts.com/about-us/history/〕
Sir George was a keen polo player and was on the first winning team of the Roehampton Trophy in 1902. He was knighted for his services to the British financial industry.
